Photolithography is used to pattern optical components with various types of pattern media and on a variety of substrate types such as: Quartz Borosilicate, Silicon, and other materials. The Chrome or pattern material density or color can be changed per the customers needs. Laser density chrome is very popular for aperatures for example and standard chrome of 1,000 Angstroms is common for apodizing filters where imagery is sub micron in size.
